I’ve been in this business for what seems a lifetime – 25 years to be precise! I’ve seen a lot of changes in our industry over the years. New training methods, new ideas on how to lose weight quicker than a shooting star, you know the usual stuff.
The one thing that hasn’t changed, however, is the fact people still hop from gym to gym looking for the magic to help lose or gain weight. Now what I mean is this; let’s take Mark ( just a random name I’ve used for the purpose of this blog ) – he wants to loose 20lb so he joins Gym X. He gets a personal trainer, trains hard and his weight drops 7lb in 3 weeks . Now that’s averag, but Marks not happy… that should be 14lb in marks mind. So he leaves Gym X and moves to Gym Y, starts all over again and does exactly the same thing!
My point? It seems that they may blame the gym or the personal trainer, or the machines in the gym. They may blame everything except themselves! Jumping from gym to gym to gym ain’t going to help you drop weight or gain weight. So what will? Being consistent.
